An innovative lifestyle for the elderly with Royal Green

Published on the

Living in a village created to hoist the retirement period as a state-of-art experience… This dream-like existence is about to come true with Royal Green. The estate, located in one of the most sought-after regions of the island, in Moka and facing Wellkin Hospital, will showcase a new way of life where “every day is a holiday”! Discover this village specially crafted for the elderly as from 50 years old, and where an entertaining community life and a hassle-free daily existence will mingle.

A renowned developer

Royal Green is the brain child of the property’s owner and developer, Luxury Retirement Village Ltd, a subsidiary company of the famous Mauritian group N-G, which launched its activities 35 years back in the construction sector. The latter has also developed Asmara Beachfront Residences, a luxury project in Black River, and a 12-floor building in in Ebene.

Royal Green, for its part, is an innovative project which emphasises the advantages of a senior-citizen residence and that of a medically-assisted retirement home. It is committed to fulfil the local needs, just as it is the case internationally, of a demographic shift and the requirements of a growing number of senior citizens. In partnership with SOS Seniors de France, Royal Green hence aims at becoming the leader in this field.

A village and its wide span of services

Other than a convivial and soothing environment, this retirement village will offer a wide range of services: an on-site health care centre, home-based care services (SSIAD) and medical assistance for independent and dependent residents; concierge services (household and laundry services); a club house; a golf course; catering; a spa and wellness centre, and 24/7 security.

Moreover, a team of professionals is being trained to provide advice and create tailor-made physical-conditioning programmes. Residents will also benefit from free shuttle services as well as day-time errands in shopping malls or outings, thus helping them uphold a rich and active social life.

Royal Green is a perfect match for investors and those looking for a place of residence alike. It is the first PDS project for the elderly being granted such an authorisation by the Economic Development Board. The offer, which encompasses favourable conditions for return on investment, also provides a residence permit to foreigners. The EDB hopes that such retirement programmes would bring more dynamism to the Mauritian economy while being an incentive for future foreign retirees, targeting more than 50,000 newcomers in the short run.

Designed 3 years ago, the project will undergo an 18-months construction period and is expected to be operational in January 2021. In the meanwhile, the developer is already planning to create other such retirement residences under the aegis of Royal Green…
