The new town of Mon Trésor is going to transform the life in the southern region of Mauritius. LexpressProperty had the pleasure to meet Emilie Oliver, Business Development Manager of Mon Trésor Smart City Management Ltd. She explains the advantages of its two main areas: a Business Gateway and its Residential Development, as well as, the connectivity to the Holiday Inn which provides excellent business facilities.

The Business Gateway

The business division is divided into 3 parts:

- An Office Park, with a 4 "Green stars" ranking, for its respect of the environment, providing offices and other workspaces of the highest quality, permanent security system, as well as parking spaces for both cars and bicycles.

- A Trade Port and Freeport Park located less than 500m from the cargo area of the airport, that will ease the logistics constraints while offering the prospect of an easier and optimised storage.

- A Commercial Park of over 13 hectares that will provide 50 lots for sale, to both foreign and Mauritian buyers.

The real estate division

Mon Trésor also provides a favorable environment for a real estate project. Accessible to both Mauritians and foreigners, its residential units will provide facilities to make daily life more agreeable: club house, sports complex, shops, beach house with access to the beach. The future developments will be enhanced by a retirement village, schools and a health center.

In addition, Omnicane moved its headquarters to enable a greater emphasis on its industrial operations that are strategically located in the south. Thus leading to a better synergy between the different operations of the group.
