Summer is almost here in Mauritius: sunshine and summer temperatures are prevailing on the island. The touristic season is on the go and the key players within the Mauritian tourism sector are already preparing themselves to cater for the expected 1 million of visitors for 2013. The Ministry of Tourism is busy carrying out promotional campaigns to enter new markets while hotels are fine-tuning their marketing strategy to accommodate the expected number of tourists.

Various options are indeed available to tourists during their stay. A more classical approach would be turn to hotel resort bookings but a new trend is starting to emerge: holiday rental in Mauritius. More and more tourists tend to rent a luxury villa in Mauritius for their holidays rather than staying in holiday resorts.
