You want a greener shelter? Here are two refreshing techniques to guide you.

Natural Swimming

A pool is a good way to refresh during summer. Ecosys proposes natural pools surrounded by reeds and even wood. About 10 pools of the same type are being built. For this purpose, an engineering team from Bionova and its founder Rainer Grafinger were recently in Mauritius for an observation. One of the projects is the Tanzi Residence – considered by the NPCC as one of the most innovative projects from Eco-Living. The pools are built like natural ponds to be in harmony with the environment. “The natural pool provides you with the sensation of swimming in an exceptional setting and to be in harmony with your property. Our pools do not make use of any chemical, chlorine or salts in the water. A nature-based technology.” States one of the society’s employee.

To build their pool, Ecosys works in collaboration with its clients to advise them and to respond to their expectations. Apart from individuals, this type of pool is suitable for hotels and villas.

Living under a green roof

The GreenBuilding idea is coming to our coastal areas. Ecosys Ltd introduces the Green Roofs concept in Mauritius, being the exclusive distributor of Xero Fior green roof, a German technology. Those roofs are built with vegetal materials and its weight facilitates its installation.

Their effects benefit the environment and reduce energy consumption. In urban zones, those types of roofs reduce the solar heat transfer in some rooms. Hence, the electricity consumption for air conditioning purposes is considerably reduced. They also contribute to the environment’s heat reduction. According to Ecosys Ltd engineers, the fact that those types of roofs absorb little heat, they contribute to the quenching products’ life span. Apart from the temperature, the green rood reduces noise pollution. The roofs’ components- soil and vegetal materials- prevent exterior noises to penetrate the building. The waves are absorbed or deviate.

Furthermore, Ecosys Ltd maintains that this type of roofs considerable reduces polluting gases like carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide. “Several north American countries adopted this concept having a recognition certificate through several agencies.” Says one of the enterprise’s employees.
