The smooth running of the transition phase regarding all handling of airport operation towards the newly built terminal of the S.S.R International Airport, Mauritius took place on the 11th of September 2013, during the night. ATOL, Airports Terminal Operations Ltd is the company responsible of the operations and management of the new
airport terminal. This transition required the switching of Airports of Mauritius’ staff to ATOL. Once operational, the former terminal will be renovated. This renovation shall be carried out in different phases. The brand new terminal will make use of the 3 existing gateways and arrival hall.
