Launched on the 3rd of December 2012 by lexpressproperty.com, the game “I LOVE MY CITY” was a major craze all around the island particularly on Facebook where the game took place for about one and a half month. After a harsh battle among 3 “cities” namely Port Louis, Rose Hill and Mahébourg, it was Mahébourg which surprisingly won the contest. Port Louis was ranked second. The main objective of this contest was to promote different regions, towns and villages of Mauritius by upgrading their ratings while making them more popular among real estate promoters.
The contest was based on the following criteria:
the beauty of the surroundings, friendliness of the local people and the coast of Mahébourg.
