Geared towards the expansion of Mauritian companies in Africa, the Mauritius Africa Fund has been officially launched yesterday by Xavier-Luc Duval, Mauritian Finance Minister. According to Mr. Duval, the Rs. 500 million fund should stake up Mauritian investors up to 10% who wish to expand their business in Africa.
"We are optimistic to attract more partners like pension funds and private equity funds which would help to increase the Africa Fund to Rs. 2 billion", he said.
