Mauritius is experiencing bad weather conditions since last night due clouds coming from the East. According to the last weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Station of Vacoas, weather in Mauritius shall remain windy with gusts of 80 km/h in some regions. Cloudy weather shall overcast over the whole island with intermittent rain this morning and in the afternoon. Rain may be moderate at intervals and will be more frequent over the high grounds and the windward slopes. There are also risks of isolated thunderstorms and fog patches will also be present in some areas.
This is a quite good news for our reservoirs as it has been raining heavily on the island since last night. Rainfall for the past 24 hours is as follows:

• Mon Bois : 64.2 mm
• Mare aux Vacoas : 34.2 mm
• Grand Bassin : 74.6 mm
IMPORTANT: Sea will be rough and the public is advised not to venture out at sea. Road-users should be cautious because of slippery road and risks of water accumulations in some regions.
